XG-505 Gas Scooter

 

The toast of the town is a new model that has all the features of the electric 500 model, except that it very fast with a 50cc gas powered motor. We have countless customers that have sent us “thank you” notes about this model and that makes us blush with pride.

Strength was a major consideration in the design of this model. High tension steel frame and the deck is made of high quality aluminum (and it looks great too with machine engraving X-treme flames rather than a cheesy sticker!). This top of the line model is twice the quality of the XG-499 model and it only costs slightly more.

 

XG-505 Features

This new and improved model that has a strong 50cc motor that is certified by the EPA. It also has

• is it fast? the 50cc motor can reach 33 miles per hour depending on rider weight (which is only about 28 mph for an oversized hoss such as myself). This is a two stroke engine so you must mix two-stroke oil with the gas or you will seize the motor.
• electric start (which is great since most pull starters fail much too soon).
• pull start backup.
• 9 inch sharp looking aluminum mag wheels that are 3.5 inches wide.
• aluminum construction (frame, deck, handles).
• strong steel forks.
• well designed aluminum deck.
• the handle bars can be folded down for easy storage. This will become one of your favorite features once you start using it. You know how difficult storing bicycles is so just imagine if your bike’s handles folded down and out of the way.
• the height is 42 inches to the handles bars (when not folded obviously).
• how far will one tank of gas take you? Typically between 15 and 20 miles. This of course depends on the type of driving you do (slow = more distance and pedal to the metal all the time = much less distance),  the type of terrain that you are driving on (is it all up hill?), and driver weight (I am lucky to make to the end of the driveway before running out of gas… I really need to go on a diet).
• chain drive drive system.
• includes batter charger, but not a seat. The seat can be purchased separately. Please keep in mind that the seat and the scooter ship separately so please don’t freak out when you madly dig through the scooter box and can’t find the seat. This happens more times that you can imagine. The seat usually arrives within a day or two of the “big box”.
• kick stand included.
